Reiki is a gentle yet powerful energy healing practice that supports your body’s natural healing abilities and brings harmony to your mind, body, and spirit.
An ancient Japanese energy healing method that channels universal life force energy to clear blockages and restore balance across your physical and energetic body.
You’ll lay comfortably while I gently place my hands on or just above your body. Many clients feel warmth, tingling, deep calm, or emotional release during a session.
Reiki can help ease anxiety, emotional tension, physical discomfort, energetic fatigue, or simply offer space for rest and reconnection.
Reiki is a beautiful way to soften, surrender, and reconnect—especially during times of change, stress, or when your soul is craving stillness and clarity.
Reiki is a holistic healing practice that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words: Rei (universal) and Ki (life force energy). It refers to the channeling of universal life force energy to support the body’s natural healing processes.
Reiki was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese spiritual teacher and scholar, after a life-changing 21-day meditation and fasting retreat on Mount Kurama. During this experience, he received a spiritual vision that revealed the sacred Reiki symbols and the healing energy system we now know as Usui Reiki.
After his awakening, Dr. Usui experienced what he called the “four miracles”—a surge of energy after fasting, the instant healing of a toe injury, safely digesting a large meal post-fast, and relieving someone’s pain with his hands. These experiences confirmed the power of the Reiki energy he had accessed.
Dr. Usui passed on his teachings to Dr. Chujiro Hayashi, a medical doctor who refined the hand positions and structured the Reiki training system. One of Dr. Hayashi’s most well-known students, Mrs. Hawayo Takata, brought Reiki to the West after being healed in his clinic in Japan. She became the first Reiki Master in the Western world and trained 22 other Masters, who helped Reiki spread globally.
Dr. Usui believed that true healing went beyond the physical—it required healing the spirit as well. After noticing that many people he helped returned to old habits, he created the Five Reiki Principles to inspire a more conscious and fulfilling way of living.
